Full-TextREIDAR D. ROVIG IS MAYOR OF YAKIMA Yakima, Wash., Dec. 6.-Reidar D. Rovig, known as "the business man's candidate, " formerly local manager of the Rovig Lumber company, was tonight elected mayor for three years, defeating his opponent, Earle J. Barnes, 2327 to 2073. Frank Marble, who has served three years as commissioner of public works was reelected, defeating C.E. Lum 2470 to 2060, despite the campaign of vituperation the latter had waged. C. E. Fraser defeated Henry 2733 to 1156 for finance comm ership. in which Traub was capped in his campaign by be weeks. Rovig's biggest vote was in his home precinct, which he carried 247 to 132, giving him the largest vote of any candidate from a single precincts. The first eight precincts, in the business section , gave Barnes a heavy lead. The eighteenth precinct, the former red light district, went for Barnes, 90 to 72.
