Full-TextMAKE COMBS FROM COWS' MILK Discovery of French Scientist Reaches College at Pullman. PULLMAN, Wash., April 21.—"From Cow's Mlllc to Umbrella Handles" might well be the subject of an article dealing with a unique product discovered by scientists in France. The depart- ment of chemistry at the Washington State college has received two cases containing ladies' back combs, um- brella handles, pen holders, paper cut- ters and various other articles that are made directly from the casein which comes from ordinary cows' milk. The technical name given to the manufactured product is "Galalith." Beautiful colorings and markings have been embodied into the substances through chemical agencies.
