DescriptionMembers of the American Basque Fraternity Auxillary of Boise, Idaho hold up their organization's flag. Each of the women appear in a traditional Basque dress. The fraternity formed in Boise in 1930 as a kind of mutual aid society for Basque women. The organization promoted goals including learning about the United States, attaining citizenship, being a good citizen, and learning the English language.
